Since 2009, David Dooghe was a member of first the Young Economic Development Board Rotterdam, later R’damse Nieuwe. After five inspiring years, David Dooghe decided to leave this organisation.

Existing of a group of Young entrepreneurs, R’damse Nieuwe supports entrepreneurial Rotterdammers to set up their businesses. This by organising inspirational meetings, such a Crowd Force Rotterdam, by show casing good Rotterdam examples such as the series of interviews in Vers Beton and GERS, by connecting young entrepreneurs with the settled Rotterdam companies, such as the many expert meetings and by working on projects which directly or indirectly influence young entrepreneurs, such as: vacancy, events in the public space, etc.

Out of the many discussions and projects with young entrepreneurs, knowledge on different types of (social) economic practices was gathered. This knowledge is essential for an urban designer to develop urban strategies or policies for the future.
